The Stapleton disability law firm was founded in 1996 by James J. Stapleton upon his retirement as a Social Security Hearing Office Chief Administrative Law Judge. Our attorneys practice only Social Security disability law. We accept referrals nationwide from long-term disability insurers, employers, or directly from disabled claimants.
Every client has an attorney and a paralegal dedicated to his or her claim, and every case is personally handled by our managing partner, Attorney Edward J. “Ned” Stapleton, who has had a 97+% success rate since joining the firm in 2000. Social Security disability law firms or non-attorney “advocates” do not typically fill out the multitude of questionnaires and forms required by Social Security, however, we typically complete all forms for our clients, taking the burden off their shoulders. We contact medical providers and obtain all relevant medical records. What does it cost? Federal law regulates fees in Social Security disability cases. Virtually every lawyer works on the same fee basis, which is 25% of the past due benefits up to the statutory maximum. If a case goes to the Federal District Court level, our fee is determined by an hourly rate with a maximum of 25% of your past due benefits. So, you might as well hire the best. There is no fee if you are not awarded benefits. |
